If life is a cluster of memories, we have a lot riding on our ability to remember. Paige Edenfield writes about what it is like to realize that the ability to remember the facets of life can be dulled with the passing of time. Taking us from waking in alarm to the recitation of the day's events, the hope of recognition in another's face, and the recall of a death, we are allowed into the experiences and considerations of how we might handle forgetfulness and learn to let go of our illusions of eternity.
